Think of Manchester United, and chances are the first thing that comes to mind will be their iconic red kit. It’s a point of pride for us that, alongside the much-loved devil-red shirt, a Paul Smith suit is also part of the matchday uniform for players and coaching staff, and has been for more than a decade. As official tailoring partner to Manchester United, it’s our role to ensure that their off-pitch look is as sharp as their on-pitch performance.

Working alongside the club, we developed a wardrobe of tailoring and accompanying pieces which foregrounds classic style while taking into account the needs of professional sportspeople who are constantly on the road. What we arrived at was a version of our popular A Suit to Travel In, paired with shirts and knitwear from our Modern Working Wardrobe – a capsule that’s proven to be a hit with players and fans alike.

But, of course, the world of Paul Smith tailoring extends far beyond travel suits, encompassing traditional, elegant cuts alongside modern flourishes such as bold colour and unexpected pattern. And so, to celebrate the breadth of our range, for the Spring ’24 season we dressed some of Manchester United’s current star players – Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, Rasmus Højlund, Altay Bayindir – and club legend Andy Cole in a selection of our brand-new tailoring.
